Lars Andersson specializes in knitwear geared for the "dark urban hippie." The Swedish-born, New York-based designer began knitting at an early age and after two years of fashion school in Sweden relocated to New York to enroll at FIT. He began knitting sweaters for friends during this time, a hobby which soon turned into a full-time project and his first collection. Andersson's hand-knit designs find influence in his native Sweden and are made from fine Japanese and Italian yarns.
