Ruffle Dress

New ways in approaching how women dress prove a constant source of inspiration for New York-based designer Doo-Ri Chung. After graduating from Parsons School of Design, Chung worked with Geoffrey Beene, eventually rising to the position of lead designer. In 2003, she launched her namesake label and a year later was named a finalist in the first CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. After her induction into the CFDA in 2005, Chung received several awards, including the Samsung Fashion Design Fund Award, CFDA/Perry Ellis Award for Emerging Design talent, and the CVFF grand prize. Chung's work is regularly featured in magazines like the New York Times, Women's Wear Daily, and American and international editions of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle.
