Band of Outsiders is a Los Angeles based clothing label founded by Scott Sternberg in January 2004. The brand is approached as a vessel for an ever-growing archive of ideas and projects that draw from a strong, personal sense of nostalgia for American sportswear classics, balanced with a drive for innovation and quality in all of our products. Band of Outsiders' first women's line, Boy., was inspired by menswear and the spirit of women who wear it with ease. It was a sophisticated, idiosyncratic take on American sportswear classics. girl. was launched in 2011 as a foil and complement to Boy. Whereas Boy. was about blazers and button-ups, girl. was about dresses and draping. In 2013, the two lines merged into one, taking the simple namesake "Band of Outsiders".
